Hawaii Hula!

Hey blogettes, hope all are well. London has finally seen some sun and at great temperatures too. Because of this I decided to do some fun summer nails... hence Hawaii Hula!

I ordered a beautiful Neon Salmon Pink polish by China Glaze called Flip Flop Fantasy and couldn't wait to create something with it as soon as it arrived.

I am still in love with the Ombre effect and thought this would look great for summer using 'Flip Flop Fantasy' and a couple of older polishes by Essie. I'm loving clashing pinks and oranges together. I think they look stunning.

I don't usually do the gimmicky styled nails but thought I'd give it a go. So, palm trees, layered polaroids, flying seagulls, random leopard print and a bordered thumb it was. Instead of going harsh using a black striper I opted for the white, making the design a little more subtle. I really wanted the the gorgeous colours on the base to be more prominent.

Take a look and let me know your thoughts. Have a fab weekend xxx

Geometric Squiggles and Shapes!

Looking for inspiration I stumbled upon some great images of a designer at a Fashion week. I have no clue which one. I would need to ask my blogger friend 'Aroundthewaygirl' as she knows all the in and outs of the fashion world.

This particular designer creates fantastic geometric shapes and prints in black and White. I love the effect of monochrome nails, they stand out a mile away and go with absolutely every ensemble.

I also came across one of Stella McCartney's designs, absolutely gorgeous bold black and white print and decided to create a set of nails using the same design.

Take a peek at my set of talons and let me know your thoughts...

Have a great week Nailettes... Xx

Homage to Miss Jenny Longworth!

Hey readers, this post is more of a homage to the super-cool Revlon Nail Ambassador that is Jenny Longworth. I absolutely adore this lady's work.

Originally from Birmingham, now globe trotting as I write this... Her art, impeccable. Her clients, the likes of Rihanna, Jessie J and M.I.A amazing current artists- the list goes on. You will see her gorgeous creations in Vogue, Grazia, Elle, Harper's Bazaar as well as many other prestigious reads.

I fell in love with Rihanna's nails on sight whilst watching 'you're da one' video. Simple, classic and chic were her set of claws. I just had to google and find out who styled her nails pronto- Jenny Longworth.

I decided to try this same design but added a touch of POP Nails to them. I am still in love with my new Neon range especially the Neon Orange by Bella Pierre, a one off set I found in TK Max whilst looking for a new toy for my 8 month old son. On the same shelf was a pack of Neon Polishes, Orange, Green and Pink. I just had to purchase! I created a similar design using black, White and Neon Orange. They are very simple as I tend to do a more detailed design. I hope you like?

Also check out Miss Jenny Longworth's beautiful creations below.

Ombre Barcodes!

So, I'm loving the Ombre effect at the minute. So cool. I decided to do some on a White nail base in the centre of the nail. I think they look so fresh, the white with a touch of colour.

I've called them Ombre barcodes because of the simple lines I have run through the Ombre design...

I love them, so much that I don't want to take them off.

Natty Bungo Neon!

Hey bloggers, I purchased some new neon polishes over the weekend and couldn't wait to create a new design using them. I thought Ombre nails on toes as i hadn't tried that yet, but I wasn't satisfied with the outcome, something was missing. I thought maybe black borders, stripes or triangles and went with just that...

Once I had finished they kind of looked Rasta-esque hence 'Natty Bungo' Neon...

The following day I needed to redo my fingers. I'm not the usual type to have matching hands and feet but I thought at least use the same colour scheme and create something simple... Again I went for Stripes and triangles. So simple, so effective.

Check them out and let me know if you likey?

Have a stupendous day Nailsters!
