Lines & Dots

Hey guys, another simple manicure inspired by GIOGO girls with a POP Nails twist my signature polka dots. Using Nails Inc classic colour the Thames (Grey) and last years fav Wimbledon (Pastel Green).

I love the singular stripe, as it elongates your fingers and nails. An ultra feminine look...

What do you guys think? Hope you like?

Have a good day xx

Poppin' Polka Dots!!!

I don't usually ever have an occasion or season to wear bright nail polish. I just do as I feel! Today I was feeling polka dots and the brightest neon colour 'it girl orange' on a base of fresh white nails. Warm, fresh and zesty as the weather in London is too...

I am slightly addicted to dots and stripes as you have probably gathered. Sweet, simple and they really POP!

I think I'm going to have to do my toes the same, probably opposite way round, white polkas' on top of the neon orange base. Hot, hot, hot!!

Check em out and let me know what you think?

Superstar Nail Lacquer!!

I was kindly sent some nail polish 'Superstar Nail Lacquer' in the post from the US, really exciting! The colours sent are amazing 'It Girl Orange' a neon orange and 'Rising Star Razzberry' a glittery pink.

I have showcased them very simply to show off the colours... The ring fingers have one coat of 'Rising Star Razzberry' over 'it girl orange' using coloured Swarovski studs to accentuate the them.

The 'it girl orange' looks amazing on top of a White base coat, making the colour really pop! I have used it on my previous set tribal nails and will be popping it on my toes with the gorgeous weather we have finally in London Town!!!

Check them out guys, share your thoughts xxx

Geometric Love!

I have always loved geometric patterns/ print as far as I can remember. Simple/complex but effective. Love Polka Dots as you have gathered from previous posts and other interesting shapes and patterns.

Most recently I fell in love with the LFW-AW12, which is based on the fashion in the streets of London, everything is fit to print. Mixing and matching is happening everywhere, from a colourful graphic geometric jumper to a pair of trousers splashed in vibrant colours mixed with a pair of snakeskin heels. Dogtooth checks on a pair of heels, bold stripes on a Prada hat, and Taylor Tomasi Hill’s blend of pastel roses with a checkered coat make it clear that any pattern, any time, is the way to go!

So, why not do the same on your nails? I do and I L.O.V.E it!!! Geometric Neon, Tribal and Aztec. Check them out and let me know if you like 'em?

Happy Monday! Xx

Leopard Lovin'!

Love or hate Leopard print it is one of the most popular nail trends going... It can be garish but it is so effective and stands out a mile away. Every time I paint my nails in this style I am stopped and asked, 'where did you get them done? They're amazing!'

They are so easy to do too...

Don’t forget leopard print isn’t always brown and khaki you can play around and be adventurous, you can choose female pastels, vibrant, daring colours and even metallics.

Leopard print nails can look great on anyone and you can make it as exclusive, glamorous or understated as you like. Have fun with it! Check out my Leopard Print designs and let me know what you think?

Girl Power from Long Time -1980's Style!!!

When I was a kid I loved JJ Fad! they were so cool, current and for me the best female rappers of that time... I did love Salt an Pepper too. SUPERSONIC was my jam alongside the video...

the 'P' is for Perfection and you know that we are freaks
the 'E' is for Exotic and the..
'R' is for Raps
so tell those nosy people just to stay the hell back
SUPERSONIC

my favorite bit of the rap...

uh uh uh. oh yes its finally my turn to rock the mic,
because my devastating beats I know you will like
you see my beat box is fresh, it'll blow your mind
and if you don't like my beats ill go big in your behind.

SUPERSONIC

The beat was so fresh, even Fergie sampled this beat on her Fergerlicious tune. That too was dope...

Avant Garde I Go!!

One of my favorite things about the world of Makeup is that there is virtually no limit to your creativity. From bold, vivid colours to smokey and dark eccentric applications. Avant Garde Make up is a fun, inventive fantasy world waiting to be explored. I was lucky enough to be briefed 'Avant Garde' on the last shoot I was on, which was themed Candy for the online Vintage Fashion Store 'DollsMaison'. Creative juices started to flow as soon as I read the words 'Avant Garde'...

Obviously I mixed the theme and company name together Doll and Candy and drew up some face sheets ready for the shoot.

Here are my Avant Garde Candy Doll looks and two nail sets themed Candy, take a peak and let me know what you think?

Love ya's and thank you for your support and continuing to read my blog it means a lot... have a fab day xxx

Say Hello to POP Makeup...!

So, the shoot on Saturday went well, still awaiting the images... but I did manage to take some photos myself behind the scenes. I was pleased with the outcome of the Candy themed nails as I spent two days preparing for the shoot so finger crossed the images came out well!

In my last post I mentioned that I was doing the Makeup on a couple of models. Candy Pastels and Avant Garde, which are right up my street. I forgot how much I love doing make up as I have not done it for a while (focus being Nails this year) I can not wait to see images.

This weekend I have been revamping my logo and overall look... POP Nails POP Makeup has been born...

CANDY GIRL!!

I am super excited as I'll be collaborating with the wonderful Dollsmaison girls this weekend. The theme Candy! Love, love, love.

Candy Stripes, pastels colours and polka dots... I have been working on my designs for a couple of days and am now working on some face sheets for the beauty shots as I am also a makeup artist.

Watch this space... But I have given you all a little sneaky peak of what I have been up to. Inspired by the images below.

Have a fab weekend Nailettes!!! X

Take a trip on the wild side

Hey y'all, short and sweet...Aztec Nails! Are still in in my books... I can't get enough! You tend to see tribal/Aztec patterns almost everywhere from clothing to music videos (Rhianna's Rude Boy).

I love painting Aztec patterns, they can take a while to do but when done look amazing.

Topsy Turvy Pineapples!!

Hey y'all, top of the morning to you.

Since being on Instagram I have forever fallen in love with a Jewellery designer from the states called Melody Eshani. I stumbled across her work looking for cool and edgy inspiration. Her work is right my up my street.

She not only designs jewellery but also nail wraps for Shopcla another American nail brand... A must see. Recently, the talented and beautiful Lauren Hill was seen wearing Miss Eshani's Vendetta Earrings and the gorgeous Cassie was seen wearing the Bullet earrings (images shown below)

I came across one of Miss Eshani's designs, pineapple earrings and that was it... I was immediately inspired. The colours and the style were so vivid it gave me the idea of my Topsy Turvy Pineapples.

Check out my interpretation and let me know your thoughts?

Happy Wednesday...
